United Republic Bank supports Lydia House and Open Door Mission

This holiday season, United Republic Bank is proud to announce its participation in the Open Door Mission’s Lydia House Diaper Drive which runs now through December 14h.  The drive is held annually to support young mothers and their infant children, as many charities and food banks cannot keep enough diapers in supply to serve their needs.

Beginning November 19, 2014, donations of diapers can be brought to United Republic Bank’s lobby during normal business hours.  As additional support for this worthwhile cause, United Republic Bank will make an additional contribution of $10 per donating household to benefit the Lydia House for packages of diapers received in our lobby thru December 12, 2014.

In 2013, United Republic Bank collected 1,624 diapers from staff, customers and others.  Mike Pate, President and CEO of United Republic Bank states, “As a locally owned community bank, we’re pleased to have the opportunity to give back in a way that enriches the lives of those families in our community who are in most need. Our goal this year is to donate 4,000 diapers for this very worthwhile cause.”

United Republic Bank supports Adopt-a-school with Pennies for a Purpose

United Republic Bank joined it’s adopt-a-school partner Picotte Elementary on a monthly program called “Pennies for a Purpose”.  Each month, a different disease awareness program is featured.  Employees are encouraged to wear the colors of that particular awareness on the fourth Friday of the month and donate to the cause.  Picotte collects the funds each month throughout the year and, at the end of the school year, the total funds collected are divided among the featured awareness organizations.

On October 18, United Republic Bank employees wore Pink to highlight Breast Cancer awareness and made donations. We had a fantastic response to the “Pennies for a Purpose” campaign in by our employees.
